I have a handmade sign on my back porch that I stuck in an empty planter during last winter’s 36 inch snow – Blizzard ’16. It’s so funny now seeing it next to the flowers that I just planted.

Spring…there’s something about seeing that first robin and the unmatched smell of my neighbor’s fresh cut grass.

Or sitting at our family’s great big Passover Seder and watching the ‘kids’ who I remember as toddlers on our summer beach trips, now holding their new babies.

Or brushing my dog Sadie’s smooth coat that smells like baby shampoo, as she dries in the warmth of the late day sun.

Sadie

Grateful. That’s what I feel.
